ABOUT US

                                                                     ….Our Descent Origin

HK Child Rescue Ministries and Orphanage was started by its interim director Hellen Kagona in 2006 as a passionate support initiative for needy orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda with its forevermore mission of transforming young boys and girls into morally upright, strong and useful men and women who will ensure the achievement and sustainability of peace, love, and respect of children’s rights and turn out to be positively beneficial to the country Uganda and the World as a whole.

HK Child Rescue Ministries and Orphanage started as a child welfare ministry which was engaged in donating basic needs and scholastic materials to needy orphans and vulnerable children.

Later in 2007, the child welfare ministry was changed into a child rescue ministry wherefore raising its interests to offering academic support to the target group (needy orphans and vulnerable children) jointly with their guardians/foster parents. The academic support project began with 16 children who were supported from their own homes and going to local village schools.

However, HK Child Rescue Ministries and Orphanage retains its dream of constructing a two hundred and fifty (250) accommodator fully furnished orphanage for its beneficiaries whereby this move, if achieved, will bring all the scattered beneficiaries together in one home.
